Obtain a service key[edit]

If this is the first time you use our services, you will need a key which identifies you in front of the system.

Create new[edit]

You can do it by visiting the Registration Wizard - the process takes only tree easy steps, two of them are not mandatory for free accounts.

At th first step, the wizard ask you for your personal information:

At the section plan, we are selecting the subscription plan. In our case it is: free.

The third step is to configure the payment itself. Since we use the free subscription, it is not needed.

After the registration process, you will be directed to your profile page, where the access code is displayed:

Retrieve existing[edit]

If you already have a key, you can login to the customer portal and copy it or request new one. It is in the first screen you see after logging in, as in the sample above.

Insert the code[edit]

With a FTP client (such as FileZilla) to open the file which contains the search box. Usually, this is the index.html file.

Install FileZilla[edit]

Go to the site https://filezilla-project.org/ and download the package named FileZilla Client, suitable for your system. Be aware to not download the FileZilla server, which is of no use in our case!

Associate html files with an editor[edit]

There is a huge chance that FileZilla will open the file with a browser - we need to specify an editor, so we would be able to edit the file.

Open the "Settings" dialog:

1. The "Settings" menu is located in the "Edit" section.

Find File editing | Filetype associations and paste the following line:

Windows

html c:\Windows\notepad.exe

Linux

html /usr/bin/gedit

1. The "html" extension should be associated with a text editor.

Connect to your hosting[edit]

The hosting is a machine, wired to the Internet which contains your site, so it is available 24/7. There are plenty of companies which sells such services and if you have something in the Web chances are that you are using one.

There are two ways to connect to a server in FileZilla:

Using Quick Connect[edit]

Right under the toolbar there is a strip with four edit boxes and a button:

  1. Host - The server your website resides.
  2. Username - The username provided by your Internet service provider.
  3. Password - The password provided by your Internet service provider.
  4. Port - Usually 21, in some cases 22 (SFTP).

Enter the required information and click "Quickconnect". Clicking it will connect you to the server.

Using Site Manager[edit]

The Site Manager is FileZilla's organizer of user defined connections.

You can bring it in by clicking the left most icon in the toolbar or by selecting File | Site Manager from the main menu.

Logging to the server requires tha you click the Connect button at the bottom.

Navigate to the proper folder[edit]

Navigate to the proper location of the index.html file.

Filezilla location.png

1. In our case, the file which countains the search bx is located at "/public_html/internal/tsveta/html".

Edit the page with the search box[edit]

After installing it, you should connect to your hosting (the server where your html files reside, and open the index.html file.

It is best done by right clicking the file name an selecting View/Edit:

This should open the file in your favorite text editor.

Write the two lines of code which do the magic[edit]

In the head section include the script:

<script src="http://soundex.bg/package/dym.js" crossorigin="anonymous"></script>

The only thing left is to run the code itself. Insert the following paragraph somewhere in your body section:

<script>DYM.init('db0c6691-97f1-451b-b96b-d2849f6dcb1c');</script>

The number we supply here should be your access code from the previous step.

Upload the file back to the server[edit]

Do not forget to upload the file back to the server. When you switch back to FilleZilla, it will ask you to do so:
